This paper presents a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings focused on the digitisation of the real estate sector and the role of emerging technologies in enabling sustainable practices. The most relevant 25 research articles from the extant literature were reviewed; and the technology adoption related papers were classified into four categories based on year of publication, country, methodology, and technology. Also, the driving forces that lead to the adoption of digital technologies in Industry 4.0 era and the challenges to the same were identified.
